Guests can find an 18-hole course with a total measurement of 7324 yards starting at the tees and a par 72.
There are some holes with narrow fairways and others with more generous fairways, all with a Platinum Paspalum playing surface. The real challenge of our course is the breeze in the holes closest to the sea and the 11 lakes that neighbor 15 of our 18 holes in a very strategic way that only Jack Nicklaus could design.
As Alvaro Venegas, general manager of the club, points out, “the best thing about Buenaventura GC is that you are playing on two different fields: one when there is wind and another when there is not.”
The first nine are less affected by the wind but the last nine are very exposed to the wind because those holes are closer to the beach.
One of the most important things with or without wind is the shot to the green, having such large and undulating greens, being on a two-shot green does not ensure par at all.
